Kathmandu. The newly elected National Assembly Speaker Narayan Dahal has assumed office.
Dahal, who was elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly on Tuesday, took the oath and reached the office at Sinha Darbar in the evening.
Responding to mediapersons after assuming office, he said that the work of the National Assembly will be carried forward in a way that is felt by the people.
He stressed on the need to create an atmosphere of unity and trust among the employees of the Secretariat and asked the employees not to be delayed by too many formalities while working.
He said that many acts and laws are yet to be made and emphasis will be placed on making those acts and laws. He said that work should be done to establish the National Assembly among the people.
He said – ‘The matter of making the assembly effective, the matter of organizing it and the decisions made in the assembly, the matter of implementing the discussions in the assembly and among the people, the people should feel that this kind of work is going on at least in the National Assembly.
There are political achievements. Regulations, laws and laws have yet to be created to implement them. It is a matter of making laws and laws. We have to work so that the National Assembly is established among the people.
He said that he will focus on the implementation of the discussions and decisions made in the assembly.
