KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament on the joint recommendation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Pandey’s resignation as Acting General Secretary of the Parliament Service was accepted by President Paudel today.
According to Article 106 of the Constitution of Nepal, Padma Prasad Pandey, a resident of Ripdikot Rural Municipality-1, Palpa District, has been appointed as the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament with effect from 23 Magh 2080 (Feb 6, 2024).
Pandey had previously served the nation as the Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat and as an official of the special category of Justice Service.
