KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has published the final voter list for the by-elections.
During the April 4 meeting of the commission, the final voter list was unveiled in accordance with the ‘Voter List Update and Final List Publication Program, 2080,’ which was conducted nationwide from March 12 to 18.
Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the commission’s joint secretary and spokesperson, reported that 422 voters have been added to the Ilam-2 constituency for the upcoming by-election.
Furthermore, 115,889 voters have been registered in this constituency, and 61,748 voters have been registered in the State Assembly-1 of Bajhang-1, thanks to the efforts of 638 people.
In the previous election, Ilam-2 had 115,467 voters, while the State Assembly-1 of Bajhang-1 had 61,110 voters.
