The Kathmandu District Court has decided to keep Nepal CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice-chair and former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara at a hospital for investigation.

Spokesperson of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, Superintendent of Police Hobindra Bogati told RSS that the hospital has been managed accordingly as the court has ordered to keep him there citing his health reasons. According to him, leader Mahara will be kept at Norvic Hospital.

Mahara had demanded allowing him to stay at the hospital since he was taking different eight types of medicines.

Earlier today, the court had extended four-day remand to investigate leader Mahara in connection with the gold scam. Mahara will now be able to stay at the hospital for all four days. He was arrested from Kapilvastu today and brought to Kathmandu for investigation purpose.
