KATHMANDU: The Government has transferred eight Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs) of Nepal Police, according to decisions made by the Council of Ministers meeting held on Thursday at Singha Durbar.

Government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, informed that the cabinet also appointed Dharmaraj Khadka of Dhankuta as the Executive Director of the vacant post at the Structure Operation and Management Development Committee.

The meeting approved several key regulatory and administrative measures, including the First Amendment to the Kamaiya Labour Prohibition Regulation, 2083, and the Tenth Amendment to the Education Regulation, 2083.

In other appointments, Himmat Bahadur Rawal of Kailali has been named the new General Manager of Gorkhapatra Corporation, while Devraj Dhungana of Morang has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Security Printing Center.

The cabinet also granted approval to present the “Bill to Amend and Repeal Certain Economic Laws of Nepal” in the Federal Parliament.

Similarly, the government approved the agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) concerning the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction for parliamentary ratification.

In addition, the Council of Ministers endorsed the National Integrity Policy, 2083, and the National Advertising Policy, 2083.
