Kathmandu- Socialist Press Organization Nepal has met the family of journalist Suresh Rajak, who lost his life in arson during a protest in favor of Hindu statehood and monarchy in Tinkune.
The organization’s officials have reached the house on Saturday and expressed their heartfelt condolences to Rajak and his bereaved family.
The team led by the organization’s president Shambhu Shrestha, The team, including General Secretary Rohit Dahal, and central member Niroj Tolange reached Rajak’s house to hand over the financial support Rs 1 Lakh 5 thousand from Christianity Works Australia and 45 Thousand Nepali rupees from Press organization Nepal.
In the process, Niroj Tolange said that the big support given by, Christianity Works Asutralia, has made an effort to put a bandage on the pain of the late Rajak family and stand together with the pure intention of putting a bandage on it.
The organization’s president Shrestha said that Rajak was not killed but murdered and that they also demand a fair investigation into the incident, compensation should be provided to the family and strictest action should be taken against the culprits.
The family expressed their gratitude and thanks to the supporting donor, Christianity works, and demanded that Rajak be declared a martyr as he died while reporting to the officials of the organization present. The family demanded that the incident be investigated impartially and the culprits be taken to task with the strictest possible action.
President Shrestha said that they stand with the family and the organization will stand in solidarity for justice for Rajak.
