KATHMANDU: The Ordinance-2081, which amends some Nepal Acts related to the promotion of good governance and delivery of public services has been approved.
CPN-Unified Socialist MP Bhanubhakta Joshi had submitted a motion to reject the ordinance. Although opposition party MPs supported his motion, the majority of the House approved the motion.
The main opposition party, the CPN-Maoist Center, as well as opposition parties Rastriya Swatantra Party, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, the Unified Socialist Party, the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, and the Aam Janata Party—voted to reject the ordinance.
