KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center has declared the results of the recently concluded local by-elections as a strong endorsement of its vision and agenda.

Party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ issued a statement on Tuesday, expressing satisfaction with the party’s performance and the public support it garnered.

“The by-elections have confirmed public approval of our agenda and the campaign we are driving,” said Dahal.

He noted that the results, marked by an encouraging number of elected representatives, reaffirm the party’s commitment to good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity.

Dahal said that the by-elections provided an opportunity to refine the party’s path and vision, resonating with its unique identity.

He promised to intensify efforts to uplift living standards, strengthen public trust, and further the federal democratic republic’s goals.

Acknowledging the critical role of local governments, Dahal said Maoist-elected representatives would prioritize service delivery and ensure that governance reaches citizens in a simple and efficient manner.

He expressed gratitude to voters for their trust and congratulated all elected representatives.

Dahal also extended his appreciation to party members, election officials, security forces, civil servants, and the media for their dedication during the by-elections.
