POKHARA: The Kaski District Court has approved an additional 15-day extension of custody for Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane to allow for further investigation.
The decision was made by a bench headed by Judge Bhimlal Belbase. Lamichhane appeared before the court today following the conclusion of his previous 13-day remand.
He was initially arrested from Kathmandu in connection with a cooperative fraud investigation.
He is currently under investigation for charges related to cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
Lamichhane is accused of embezzling funds from Pokhara’s Surya Darshan Cooperative and diverting the money for use in Kathmandu-based Gorkha Media Pvt. Ltd.
