DHANUSHA: Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak has reaffirmed the incumbent government’s commitment to upholding the rule of law in the country.

Speaking at a meeting organized by the District Administration Office, Dhanusha, in Janakpurdham today, Minister Lekhak emphasized the government’s readiness to foster good governance, combat corruption, and develop the economic sector.

He called for cooperation from the heads of public offices in the district, as well as from all civil employees, to support these efforts.

Addressing concerns over frequent changes in the federal and provincial governments, which have led to public dissatisfaction, Minister Lekhak clarified that the two largest parties in parliament joined forces to form the current government, led by CPN (UML).

“This government is committed to protecting people’s rights,” the Minister vowed.

He also urged civil employees to perform their duties without succumbing to external pressures, stressing the importance of adhering to government guidelines, the constitution, and the law.

“Civil employees should not consider themselves rulers and must not misuse their positions to harass or trouble service-seekers. Those who engage in such activities will be punished,” Minister Lekhak warned.

The meeting was attended by the Chief District Officer of Dhanusha, Ramuraj Kadariya, along with the chiefs of security agencies and other public offices in the district.
