KATHMANDU: The Nepali government has recommended new ambassadors to 18 countries in a meeting held on Monday.

The Cabinet meeting proposed new ambassadors to countries including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Australia.

Upon approval through parliamentary hearings, the President will appoint them under the constitutional provision.

The Monday Cabinet meeting also decided to recall ambassadors currently serving in China, Australia, Russia, South Africa, and Sri Lanka by Bhadra 15.

Here is the list of the 18 proposed ambassadors:

  1. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma – India
  2. Kanta Rajal – Australia
  3. Naresh Bikram Dhakal – Saudi Arabia
  4. Prof. Dr. Kapil Mani Shrestha – South Africa
  5. Dhanaprasad Pandit – Israel
  6. Ramkrishna Bhattarai – Sri Lanka
  7. Sanil Nepal – Spain
  8. Dr. Shail Rupakheti – Germany
  9. Lok Darshan Regmi – United States
  10. Chandrakumar Ghimire – United Kingdom
  11. Dr. Shivmaya Tumbahamphe – South Korea
  12. Jungbahadur Chauhan – Russia
  13. Rameshchandra Paudel – Qatar
  14. Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli – China
  15. Sumnima Tuladhar – Denmark
  16. Netraprasad Timilsina – Malaysia
  17. Prakashmani Pokharel – Portugal
  18. Rita Dhital – Pakistan
