Teaching Hospital premises in mourning: Relatives in tears

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj is now a scene of profound mourning as it houses the bodies of 18 victims from the Saurya Airlines plane crash.

Recovered from the site at Tribhuvan International Airport, the bodies are undergoing post-mortem examinations and identification procedures at the hospital.

The atmosphere at the Teaching Hospital turned somber as grieving families of the Saurya Management members and employees gathered to mourn their loved ones lost in the tragic incident.

Echoes of sorrow filled the hospital complex as cries and wails of grieving relatives reverberated through the halls.

The hospital, now a hub of mourning, prepares for the solemn task of conducting post-mortems on the deceased.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has identified the victims as Amitman Maharjan, Sagar Acharya, Dilip Barma, Manuraj Sharma, Ashwin Niraula, Sudeepal Joshi, Sarbesh Marasani, Shyam Bindukar, Navaraj Ale, Rajaram Acharya, Prija Khatiwada, Adhiraj Sharma, Uddhav Puri, Yagyaprasad Paudyal, Santosh Mahato, Punyaratna Shahi, Aref Reda (Foreign), and Co-Pilot S. Katuwal, who lost their lives in the crash.
