KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal has pledged to ensure the safety and protection of Nepali nationals, including students, in Bangladesh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized its active coordination with universities, relevant authorities, and law enforcement agencies in Bangladesh.

Currently, about 800 Nepali students have departed Bangladesh for Nepal either by air or through land border crossings.

Additionally, the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka has facilitated the movement of students from various parts of Bangladesh to Dhaka airport or nearby border points to ensure their safe return home.

The Ministry has also launched an online form for Nepali students experiencing difficulties, urging them, as well as their families, to provide necessary information for support and assistance.

For direct communication and assistance, individuals can contact Section Officer Maheswarmani Tripathi (+977-9851166987, mahesh.mofa@gmail.com) or Second Secretary Yojana Bamjan at the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka (+8801880691013, eondhaka@mofa.gov.np and eondhaka@dhaka.net).
