KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Karnali State Yamlal Kandel has received the vote of confidence. Chief Minister Kandel took the vote of confidence from the State Assembly meeting held today.
Out of 35 participating members in today’s meeting, 23 votes were cast in favor of Chief Minister Kandel while 12 votes were cast against him. Similarly, 1 member remained neutral.
UML’s Kandel was appointed as Chief Minister on 27th of Chaitra. In the 40-member State Assembly, there are 13 MPs from the Maoist Centre, 10 from the UML and 1 from the Unified Socialist Party.
There are 14 MPs from Nepali Congress, 1 from RPP and one independent MP.
