Samarpan Lama, hailing from Pune, earned the title of the ‘King of Contemporary’ in ‘India’s Best Dancer 3’. His journey has been nothing short of a roller-coaster ride, with moments when his performances weren’t up to par.

Samrpan Lama, who earlier won hearts on ‘India’s Best Dancer 3’ with his humble attitude and hardwork, has now emerged as the winner of the reality television show. The highlights of his journey included a touching gesture from Remo D’Souza, who gifted him a pair of shoes as a token of respect for his dance talent. Terence Lewis, another renowned choreographer, praised Samarpan’s work and saw a promising future in contemporary dance through him.

After being declared as the winner, Samarpan said, “It feels surreal! I always watched reality shows and wished that I would be a part of one such show someday. But what I never imagined was winning my first dance reality show; it’s truly a dream come true for me.”

He continued, “Through the course of this competition, I tasted both success and failure. Failure is important too, as it teaches you a lot, and that helped me give my best and push harder. Today, because of it, I have become a better dancer. Words can’t describe what ‘India’s Best Dancer’ Season 3 means to me; it will always be close to my heart. Lastly, I would like to thank my people for believing in me and supporting me. My win is their win too.”

One of the most emotional moments was when Samarpan reunited with his father on the IBD stage after a gap of 17 long years. His father had been living abroad for work, and this heartwarming reunion tugged at the heartstrings of viewers.

In another episode, ‘Sardam Udham’ actor Vicky Kaushal also praised the dancer and his skills and said, “Samarpan, aapne poori tarah se apne aap ko performance mein samarpit kar diya that (Samarpan, you completely dedicated yourself to the performance).”
