{"id":2994,"date":"2025-08-06T01:27:30","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T01:27:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalinewshub.com\/?p=2994"},"modified":"2025-08-06T01:27:30","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T01:27:30","slug":"how-to-get-your-grade-12-certificate-apply-for-retotaling-and-take-supplementary-exams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalinewshub.com\/?p=2994","title":{"rendered":"How to get your Grade 12 certificate, apply for retotaling and take supplementary exams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KATHMANDU:<\/strong> The National Examination Board (NEB) on Monday published the results of the Grade 12 examinations.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Board, a total of 510,987 students appeared in the exams, of whom only 284,305 secured grades in all subjects.<\/p>\n<p>The results indicate that 61.17 percent of regular examinees and 36.49 percent of partial examinees passed, leaving 38.83 percent and 63.51 percent, respectively, without the minimum grades required for certification.<\/p>\n<p>Following the result announcement, students and guardians are now focused on securing official academic documents, applying for re-evaluation, and preparing for supplementary examinations. NEB has issued several notices outlining the procedures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria and procedure for obtaining certificates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who have secured a minimum of \u2018D\u2019 grade in each theoretical subject and \u2018C\u2019 grade in internal\/practical evaluations are eligible to receive academic certificates.<\/p>\n<p>According to NEB, certificates\u2014including transcripts, migration, and provisional certificates\u2014will be available 15 days after the publication of results. Regular examinees must pay a fee of Rs. 1,100 to their respective schools, which are responsible for collecting the documents from NEB\u2019s regional offices.<\/p>\n<p>Schools have been instructed to avoid charging students more than the prescribed amount. Furthermore, students must submit certified copies of Grade 11 and 12 ledgers showing the minimum required grades while collecting their certificates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Retotaling applications open<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NEB has allowed students dissatisfied with their results to apply for retotaling. Each subject retotaling request costs Rs. 500 and must be submitted online through the NEB website (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.neb.gov.np\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.neb.gov.np<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The application portal will remain open from August 5 until August 14, closing at 5:00 PM. Students are required to make the payment online before submitting their application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Correction of errors in published results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who encounter errors in their result sheets, such as being marked absent, discrepancies in subjects, names, or registration numbers, may request corrections by submitting an application to NEB.<\/p>\n<p>Such requests must be filed at the NEB head office in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, or the concerned regional office within six months of result publication. NEB has clarified that complaints submitted beyond this period or without complete documentation will not be entertained.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplementary examinations for \u2018not graded\u2019 students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who received an \u2018NG\u2019 (Not Graded) in up to two theoretical subjects, or who were absent in no more than two subjects, are eligible to appear for supplementary (grade improvement) exams.<\/p>\n<p>NEB has announced that the supplementary exams will be held on September 13 and 14. Students taking one subject, or English among two subjects, will appear for the exam on September 13. Those appearing in two subjects\u2014such as English and Nepali\u2014will take English on September 13 and Nepali on September 14.<\/p>\n<p>Detailed application procedures for the supplementary exams have already been issued by the Board.<\/p>\n<p>The NEB has urged all stakeholders, students, parents, and schools, to follow the official notices and deadlines carefully to avoid complications.
