{"id":2541,"date":"2025-01-23T17:15:57","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T17:15:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalinewshub.com\/?p=2541"},"modified":"2025-01-23T17:15:57","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T17:15:57","slug":"over-two-thirds-candidates-fail-nepal-medical-council-license-exam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalinewshub.com\/?p=2541","title":{"rendered":"Over two-thirds candidates fail Nepal Medical Council license exam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KATHMANDU:<\/strong> The results of the 71st license examination conducted by the Nepal Medical Council have raised concerns, with over two-thirds of examinees failing.<\/p>\n<p>The two-day examination, held at the Nepal Institute of Engineering Studies in Pulchowk, saw a poor performance, as revealed in the results published yesterday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Out of 844 candidates, including those from MBBS and BDS programs, only 262 (31.04%) passed, leaving 562 (68.96%) failing.<\/p>\n<p>Among the 770 candidates who filled the form for the MBBS examination, 17 were absent, and 753 participated. However, only 241 (32.01%) passed, while the results of seven candidates were withheld.<\/p>\n<p>In the BDS category, 95 candidates filled out the form, and 91 appeared for the exam.
