{"id":2522,"date":"2025-01-15T15:51:01","date_gmt":"2025-01-15T15:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nepalinewshub.com\/?p=2522"},"modified":"2025-01-15T15:51:01","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T15:51:01","slug":"rabi-lamichhane-secures-release-after-providing-bail-guarantee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nepalinewshub.com\/?p=2522","title":{"rendered":"Rabi Lamichhane secures release after providing bail guarantee"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-entry\">\n<p><strong>KATHMANDU:<\/strong> Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane was released on bail of Rs 6 million by the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The bail was secured after Prabhu Bank provided a guarantee for the required amount, as mandated by District Court Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari.<\/p>\n<p>Had Lamichhane failed to provide the bail or a bank guarantee, he would have been sent to jail for at least a day.<\/p>\n<p>Lamichhane left the court premises in a happy mood after Prabhu Bank agreed to guarantee the bail amount, promising to pay if Lamichhane was unable to do so.<\/p>\n<p>This decision was made after discussions between the Kathmandu District Court, Lamichhane, and the bank. Prabhu Bank will now recover the bail amount from Lamichhane.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Lamichhane had been released on bail of Rs 6.5 million by the District Court in Kaski last Thursday in connection with the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case in Pokhara.<\/p>\n<p>After the Kaski District Court\u2019s ruling, Lamichhane appeared before the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday, where he presented a bank guarantee for the earlier bail amount.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane was released on bail of Rs 6 million by the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday evening.
