The Constitution of Nepal mandates that a Prime Minister appointed with the support of two or more political parties must seek a vote of confidence within 30 days of their appointment.<\/p>\n

The newly appointed PM is taking the trust vote as per Article 76(4) of the constitution.<\/p>\n

On July 14, President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed Oli as the Prime Minister in accordance with Article 76(2) of the constitution.<\/p>\n

With two of the largest parties, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, joining forces and other small parties also joining the government, PM Oli is likely to secure his vote of confidence.<\/p>\n

So far, along with Nepali Congress and UML, Janamat Party, Ashok Rai-led JSP, Upendra Yadav-led JSP Nepal, Nagarik Unmukti Party, and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party are likely to support Oli\u2019s trust motion.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party will be standing against PM Oli\u2019s trust motion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
