DHARAN: Harka Sampang, mayor of Sunsari’s Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, said that all religions are considered equal.
He stated on social media that all religions are treated equally and with respect.
Other religions, he added, should not be trampled. ‘The difference between you and me is that you prioritize one faith and try to trample on others,’ he explained, whilst ‘I consider all religions equal and give due respect.’
Mayor Sampang said that he wanted to make Dharan an attractive destination, not a turbulent one. He goes on to say, ‘You are trying to make Dharan restless by bringing in outsiders and causing agitations and killings! I will attract people from outside to contribute to the Shramdaan of the city!’
