Home Ministry recommends promotion of 12 Armed Police Force SPs

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has put forth recommendations for the promotion of 12 Superintendents of Armed Police (SP) to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) within the Armed Police Force.

Sources within the APF stated that since assuming leadership of the organization, Inspector General Raju Aryal has prioritized character development and worked towards advancing the organization in alignment with established policies and regulations.

This effort has encompassed significant adjustments in terms of transfers and promotions, they said.

In the month of July alone, over 6,000 personnel ranging from SSPs to Assistant Constables have received promotions.

Assistant Spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa noted that promotions, which had been stalled, have now been resolved due to the proactive measures undertaken by Inspector General Aryal.

These promotions are granted based on the criteria stipulated in the regulations, including performance evaluations, seniority, and professional aptitude.
