Home directive to shut down unregistered crusher industry

Kathmandu- The government has instructed the district administration office to close down unregistered and unrenovated country crusher industries.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs Fanindramani Pokharel informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a circular to all 77 district administration offices today to stop such industries in order to regulate the quarrying and exploitation of stone, gravel and sand against the existing law.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the said circular was issued because it was deemed necessary to regulate the quarrying and exploitation of stone, gravel and sand against the law, to comply with the Environmental Protection Act, 2076 and to implement the court order in this regard.
