KATHMANDU- Rekha Sharma, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, stated that efforts are being made to reach an agreement on the Citizenship Bill.
Minister Sharma told the media following the House of Representatives meeting on Friday that efforts are being made among political parties to find an agreement on the Citizenship Bill.
She stated that, while the government’s objective is to pass the Citizenship Bill as soon as possible, reaching a consensus takes time.
She claims that efforts have been made to achieve an agreement in order to prevent repeating past mistakes.
She also stated that the government will mobilize all of its agencies in order to carry out the minimal common program.
