Kathmandu- The Election Commission has published the updated number of nominees. According to the statistics up to 7:30 this morning, 137 thousand 43 people have registered their nominations.
Nominations have been made for the posts of registered head/deputy head, president/vice president, ward president, women member, Dalit women member and open member.
The Commission has stated that 34 thousand 747 people have registered the nominations for those posts the most in Madhes province. After that, 23 thousand 96 people in Bagmati province, 21 thousand 879 people in province 1 and 21 thousand 759 people in Lumbini province have registered their nominations.
According to the commission, 12 thousand 318 people have registered nominations in Karnali province, 12 thousand 146 people in Gandaki province and 11 thousand 98 people in Sudurpaschim province.
Nominations were registered at 753 local levels, including 6 metropolises and 11 sub-metropolises, on Sunday and Monday.
