In the SAFF Championship, Nepal lost to India by 3 goals

Kathmandu- Nepal lost 3-0 to seven-time winners India in the SAFF Championship held at the National Stadium in Malé, the capital of the Maldives.
In the first half, Nepal missed the opportunity to score at the beginning. Although the first half ended in a goalless draw, Nepal scored two goals at the beginning of the second half.
Captain Sunil Sunil Chhetri gave India the lead. Within a minute of scoring the first goal, India scored the second goal. Suresh Singh Wangjam doubled India’s lead just one minute later.
In the injury time of the game, Sahal Abdud Samad scored another goal to give India an easy win. Sujal Shrestha’s cross was not able to be netted by Navyug Shrestha. On the other hand, the continuous attack of India was saved by the goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong.
