Kathmandu- President Bidya Devi Bhandari has announced amnesty to 513 people on the occasion of Democracy Day.
According to Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal, President Bhandari announced the release of 501 prisoners, including Furwa Sherpa, pending payment.
According to the statement issued by the President’s Office, amnesty has been announced for 12 more people on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. Another 12 people who will get amnesty include Aangnima Sherpa.
