Chinese citizens arrested with 38.9 million rupees

Kathmandu- The police have arrested one Nepalese and four Chinese nationals with undisclosed amount of Rs.

A team from Nagadhunga Police Division and Narcotics Control Bureau arrested them today when they were bringing cash in two plastic sacks in a Subaru company car coming from Nuwakot to Kathmandu.

Those arrested are 44-year-old Phool Bahadur Gurung of Vidur Municipality-8 in Nuwakot, 50-year-old Aung Jaiqing, 49-year-old Jan To, 31-year-old Meng Yung Sung and 26-year-old Mauzain Hou, Chinese nationals.

Spokesperson of District Police Complex Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Dineshraj Mainali informed that they were arrested while they were coming with undisclosed amount of money.

The police recovered 36 thousand 413 coins worth Rs 1000, five thousand one coins worth Rs 500, two coins worth Rs 100 and one coin worth Rs 20 from them.

Spokesperson Mainali said that all those arrested have been sent to the Money Laundering Department in Pulchok for further investigation and action.
