After winning the election, I will make a policy to provide equal access to health services: Rameshwar Shrestha

Kathmandu- Rameshwar Shrestha, who nominated for the post of five-party alliance from CPN United Samajwadi Party for the position of Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has said that if he wins the election, he will make a policy to provide equal access to health services.

In an event held in Kathmandu, Shrestha said, free basic health services will be guaranteed in accordance with fundamental rights, I will make a policy to ensure emergency health services and provide equal access to health services.

Shrestha said that under the safe motherhood program, pregnant women will be given free ambulance service or travel expenses from home to hospital.

He said, “Pregnant women suffer unbearable pain during labor, I will make a policy and program to provide free ambulance service or travel expenses from home to hospital”.

He also said that in order to respect, protect and fulfill women’s rights related to safe maternity and reproductive health, maternity and reproductive health services will be made safe, quality, accessible and accessible. Similarly, under the Housewives and Entrepreneurs program, women groups will be supported in starting household and micro-enterprises with interest-free financing, business training, free registration, tax exemption and market promotion, he said.
