Sunsari- Independent candidate Harkaraj Rai has been elected as the mayor of Sunsari’s Dharan sub-metropolitan city.
Rai, who became a candidate from Lauro election symbol, was elected mayor by getting 20 thousand 821 votes. He has defeated the ruling coalition candidate Kishore Rai of Nepali Congress. Kishore got 16 thousand 59 votes.
Aindra Vikram Vegha of the Maoist Center won the Deputy Mayorship by getting 20,510 votes.
