A courtesy call was held between the French parliamentary delegation visiting Nepal and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina. A meeting was held between them on Wednesday in the office of President Timilsina at Singhdarbar.
The delegation led by Véronique Rioton, President of the France-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Group, had a courtesy meeting with President Timilsina.
During the courtesy call, President Timilsina praised the contribution of the Parliamentary Friendship Group to strengthen the 73-year-long Nepal-France friendship.
Expressing his gratitude for France’s continuous support to Nepal’s democratic process, he said that freedom, equality and fraternity, which are the basic values of the French revolution, have always been an inspiration in Nepal’s democratic movement and struggle.
President Timilsina said that the relationship between the two countries is harmonious and friendly and is based on friendship, harmony and mutual understanding. He expressed happiness that the exchange of high-level visits over the years has accelerated the existing relations.
